We are a fitness and nutrition coaching company called Still Got It Fitness here in the South Bay and we just celebrated our 5th year anniversary.

Our business is dedicated to helping men and women over 50 achieve their health and fitness goals through customized nutrition and fitness programs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person to train our clients.

You will be compensated fairly, treated fairly, and we will certainly look for ways to pay you more for your efforts if they warrant it. We want someone who enjoys working with people and making a difference in the lives of others…because that’s what we do in our studio.

Job title: Fitness trainer

Overview: To provide fitness training and coaching to assigned clients to ensure safety and facilitate performance towards their planned goals

Specific functions:

  • Greet clients upon arrival
  • Review client worksheets
  • Discuss activities since last workout
  • Review upcoming workout
  • Remind client of next workout
  • Complete training worksheet
  • Review worksheets with supervisor
  • Make sure there are no surprises
  • Make sure each client checks in
  • Communicate with clients when they need to reschedule
  • Attend all meetings when requested
  • Option to teach group classes

Reporting structure: Reports to assigned supervisor. Supervises no one.

Qualifications:

  • Must have nationally accredited training certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA, NSCA).
  • High school graduate, some college preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Adept at adjusting to people’s moods and personalities.
  • Must have the emotional stamina to be at your best with each client.

Training required:

  • How to greet assigned clients
  • Overall training protocol
  • Client worksheets
  • How to ask questions
  • How to handle client problems
  • What to do in case of emergency
  • Nutritional supplements
  • Chain of command
  • Expected behavior

Performance appraisal: Quarterly, semi-annual, annual.

Compensation: $22-34 per session

Type: Part-time with the potential to work full-time


Job title: Group fitness trainer

Overview: To provide proper coaching, instruction, and motivation during a group class. You should have a working knowledge of the human body (i.e. muscles, movements, functions, etc.), and be able to provide appropriate exercises for client’s goals.

Specific functions:

  • Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate warm-up, exercises, stretching, and cool down
  • Ensures that safety and injury prevention policies and procedures are adhered to by participants
  • Demonstrate and explain proper exercise techniques
  • Ability to modify exercises and techniques for all fitness levels in the class.
  • Attend all meetings when requested

Reporting structure: Reports to assigned supervisor. Supervises no one.

Qualifications:
